Pryvit!
I'm Maksym Kytsiuk, a team lead, comms lead, public information specialist, graphic designer, and dedicated volunteer from Sevastopol, Ukraine.
In early April, I resigned from my position as Head of the Serhiy Prytula Humanitarian Foundation, one of the three biggest charities in Ukraine. In this assignment, I worked with a fantastic team of enthusiasts to support the most vulnerable populations on the frontline and in the deliberate communities of Ukraine.
Before a full-scale invasion of russia into Ukraine, I have held diverse roles throughout my career, including as an Anti-Corruption Public Information and Communications Specialist at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Iraq, a Communications Specialist at UNDP Ukraine, contributing to the United Nations Recovery and Peacebuilding Programme (UN RPP) in Kramatorsk, Ukraine, an Advisor on Communications and Dialogue at GIZ Ukraine, contributing to the "U-LEAD with Europe: Ukraine Local Empowerment, Accountability and Development Programme", a PR & Communications Specialist at ADRA Ukraine, making significant contributions in Mariupol and conflict-affected areas along the 'contact line' in the Eastern Conflict Area.
Moreover, I have vast experience in civil society organisations and have led several organisations at different times: "The Centre "Anti-Corruption Platform" NGO in Ivano-Frankivsk and All-Ukrainian Youth NGO "Foundation for Regional Initiatives."
I hold a Diploma and Master's in Political Science from Vasyl Stephanyk Precarpathian National University and a "Journalists for Future Challenges" Certificate from a joint annual program of Anne-Marie and Gustaf Ander Centre for Media Studies at Stockholm School of Economics in Riga in collaboration with the Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP).
